Wow – What A Week At Match Media!
Last week was a truly unique week for the Match Media team and our partners.
On Wednesday 3rd June we announced the acquisition of Match by Publicis and the next chapter in the evolution of Match, being part of the brand new network Blue 449. We look forward to sharing with you in the coming weeks what we have learnt and the benefits of our new partners.
On the evening of 3rd June we were awarded two awards for our work on IKEA at the AMES (Asian Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy Awards) held in Singapore. This Asia wide recognition earned us Gold for Best Integrated Use of Media for IKEA Catalogue launch “Results by Design”. This work also took home Silver for Best Home Furnishings category. A strong demonstration of our aim to “create work that works”.
This was then followed by two amazing awards on Thursday night which saw Match crowned Best Media Agency of the year by Mumbrella jurors. In the last 18 months Match has now won Media agency of the year from all publishers, which demonstrates our consistency and positive momentum. However what is most pleasing is that in growing we have not lost sight of what makes Match special, which is our people. Mumbrella also awarded us the Best Culture Award for the second year running.
One of the jurors said of Match “I think what we are seeing – and it is clear through the awards tonight – is that independents are winning not because they are independent but just because they are at the top of their game.”
